Highs and Lows of London Life

Hi all,
Here I am again after way too long since our last post!

Since then we've had some real highs and some real lows....

The biggest high would have to be the safe arrival of our newest nephew - Harper Perret, the newest addition to the family in Sydney. Very exciting. We are regularly emailled beautiful insights into his new life, which really does brighten up ones day!

Another high would be our lovely long weekend away to the New Forest!!! We rode bikes, enjoyed lovely weather, saw wild ponies, ate fresh seafood, slept soundly, wandered around markets, went through many op shops.... It was so nice to get away from London!!!! We also visited the Isle of Wight, very picturesque, and saw the spot where my great great gransparents lived!

This weekend we are off to Bruggee (spelling?) in Belgium with Miranda and Justin. Totallly cant wait to hang out (more) with them. A bit of a whirlwind tour of the city, as well as Flanders Fields and Ypres. It'll be in the next post I'm sure!!!!

Tom applied for a job teaching media at his current school and got it! He will leave the agency, be employed by the school and most importantly get holiday pay! Very exciting for him to leave the english taching well alone in the next school year starting in September. I think I will cut a similar deal with my school with holiday pay etc, maybe only until Christmas though. We're still working out the finer details!

Now to the lows... Sadly all our lovely flowering potplants were "nicked". One disappeared, and then the next day they all went. We were pretty gutted. Apparently it happens a lot over here. After all the love we (Tom) poured in it hardly seems fair. Our piece of inner city beauty taken!

We are still living with the smokers, they seem to have a different moving out timeline than what we would have liked. We seem to offend them alot, but are not really sure how, as we think they are rude themselves! It's a bit perplexing. We might ditch it all soon and get a new place with Adrian. Stay tuned!

We still miss everyone and everything very very much. It may sound and look like we're having a blast, but it's not all roses.... I hope it will start to get easier soon.

Lots of Love, Lucy xxooxoxoxox
