Vive La France!

Bonjour!!!

The photos are all out of order!!!

We are now in pure Swiss luxury at Mark and Therese`s place after 3 weeks of camping around France. In short, we drank, ate -or should I say indulged?, and had the best time exploring heaps of cool stuff... Roman ruins, wineries, supermarkets (they have to be the best in the world surely?), climbed enormous sand dunes, enjoyed far too many set lunches and had a super good time relaxing!

We started in Paris, then went North and then if you look at a map and draw a big Z, that makes our route ending up in Lyon!

After Paris we started ed at the Somme region, lots of war memorials and western front stuff. Then over to the Champagne region for, yep, some real french Sparkles, south to the Burgundy region for some wine tours (and some sensational food and wine). Then through the middle, then over to the Atlantic coast for some EXCELLENT seafood, sights, and sun seeking on the coast!!! We spent a week on the coast at La Rochelle and then just out of Arcachon in front of Europes largest Sandune.
We then headed south west to the bottom of the Pyrenees to Carcassone, Peripignan, way down South east to Collioure, then North, to Roquefort, Millau -incidentally we stumbled upon the Petanque Wrld Series, a few lovely days in Provence where we soaked up Pont Du Gard, good Cotes Du Rhone Red and the sites of Avignon! We finished up in Lyon and splurged on a divine hotel!!!

Enjoy the pics, I hope the postcards are arriving!!!!

Lots and lots of Love, Lucy and Tom xxxooo
