1. Sleeping under the stars ON a boat ON the Nile IS as good as it sounds.
2. Sailing down the Nile in full wind IS as good as it sounds!!!
3. Our morning shower was jumping into the Nile to "freshen up"
4. No toilets on board.
5. Sand is H O T in the middle of the day when you want to get off to use the "desert facilities".
6. Our felucca was called True Dream, and yes it had an Aussie flag!!!
7. The food was cooked by our crew and it was sensational!
8. Our last night we had a candle light dinner on shore followed by a bonfire with traditional singing and dancing.
(I needed to clarify that, so you didn't think we'd gone on survivor or something like that)
9. For some reason a Conga line is traditional in Egypt... ? Anyway!
Hi Guys - we agree, you have to have done this to appreciate it! Sailing on a felucca on the Nile IS awesome (not to mention very relaxing) nothing to do but eat, drink, sleep and plan your next toilet stop - are the banks of the Nile as revoltingly littered as they were when we were there?
