Every teachers dream, or just mine?

Last Monday morning I set off for a week Pony Trekking in the Brecon Beacon National Park in Wales for activities week....

Armed with sick bags for the bus (these english kids have such delicate tummies), my new riding boots, loads of 'sweets', medical forms, risk assessment forms, hayfever tablets, asthma pumps, dvds for the coach (not BUS as i was reminded by the COACH driver), countless other sick stuff, all my luggage, 25 pony mad girls, 3 year nine boys, my trusty mate Lauren we set off!!!

It could have been disaster....

But it was great! Best school trip ever!!

Riding in the forest, on the common, seeing wild welsh ponies, there were too many highlights!!!

Here are a couple of pics...

"Abbey" the section D Welsh Cob mare I rode for the week!

Alice, one of my favourite kids. She is in my top set year 7 geography class. Isn't she such a dot?

The view from the yard where we tacked up and got organised. Lush, rolling hills!

The bunk rooms and the cottage. Apparently the cottage was a bakery built 500 years ago)

The Ifor Williams horse box. Front unload. Wicked.
